The video "If Aragón were a village of 100 people" is an accesible and adapted to different needs statistical product, made by the Aragón Statistics Institute (IAEST) as an activity within the International Year of Statistics and in celebration of the Institute's 20th anniversary.
The aim of this product is to rise awareness, mainly among the youngest students, of the importance of statistics for a better understanding of the society we live in. The provided data were simplified in order to be easily understood by every user.
The Aragón Statistics Institute has counted in the making of this work on a large number of children from Zaragoza, Almudévar and Monzón schools, who have made this video come true with their drawings, voice and enthusiasm.
In addition, the Corporación Aragonesa de Radio y Televisión has supported us with their technical means in the recording of the video's voices, in Spanish but also in the English and French versions.
This work is based on an original idea by the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
